I. PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy sets out the principles, scope and manner in which we collect, process and use personal data. It also specifies your rights in this respect.
§ 1. Collected personal data
Personal data signify any information about an identified or identifiable individual. This may include, but is not limited to, your name, home address, date of birth, qualifications, and any other information you voluntarily provide on our app, website, in person at our offices, by email, or by signing up to receive our newsletter. § 2. Legal basis for processing personal data
Personal data are processed by the Controller in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, in particular in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council dated 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals in relation to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) – hereinafter referred to as “GDPR” or “GDPR Regulation”, and in particular:

- processing is necessary for the performance of a contract, to which the data subject is a party, or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into the contract;
- processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation of the Controller;
- processing is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or by a third party, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data, in particular where the data subject is a child.
§ 3. Data Controller
Data Controller is Difference spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością, address: Juliusza Kossaka 11 01-576 Warszawa („DC”), data may be collected during the use of the service by analyzing the access logs and when the user sends an e-mail to the Data Controller – for technical and statistical purposes as well as for processing the request.
§ 4. Contact details of the Data Protection Officer
The Data Controller has appointed a Personal Data Inspector who, with regard to the processing of personal data, can be contacted at the following e-mail address: iod@makeadifference.com.pl. Traditional correspondence should be sent to the address of the Personal Data Controller indicated in § 3.
§ 5. Safety of personal data
Difference sp. z o. o. as a personal data controller makes every effort to ensure the security of collected personal data. We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures so that the processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the GDPR Regulation. Technical and organizational measures are reviewed and updated. The aim is to ensure the best possible protection of personal data against unauthorized access by third parties, leakage, falsification, unlawful use or accidental loss.
§ 6. Use of collected data
We do not share personal information with any third parties without obtaining your prior consent, unless required by law.
Personal data is stored in a secure database with access restricted to only the persons authorized by the Personal Data Controller. We have taken the technical and organizational steps necessary to ensure adequate protection of personal information. Periodically, for marketing purposes, you may be sent information relating to our services or other information that we consider to be of interest to you.
We use collected personal data:
- To provide our clients, both employers and candidates, with quality service;
- To continually improve our services;
- For statistical data analysis and market research.
You may opt out of receiving such marketing communications at any time.
§ 7. Rights of data subjects
Right of access, rectification, restriction, erasure or portability – data subject has the right to request from the Controller access to his/her personal data, its rectification, erasure (“right to be forgotten”) or restriction of its processing. Data subject has the right to data portability and to object to the processing of his/ her data. Detailed conditions for the exercise of the aforementioned rights are set out in Articles 15-21 of the GDPR Regulation.
§ 8. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Each person whose data is processed by the Controller has the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority in the manner and according to the procedure determined in the provisions of the GDPR Regulation and Polish law, in particular the Act on Personal Data Protection. The supervisory authority in Poland is the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.
